Indiana Sports Photography: CGA JV Soccer vs. Trinity

Following are some photos from the CGA JV soccer game as they hosted Trinity at Culver Academies. The girls played well, though the lead changed several times throughout the game. As hard as they girls tried, they counldn’t pull out a win. Additional photos are located at:

Indiana Sports Photgrapher: CMA Tennis

Earlier this season, I photographed the CMA tennis team as they hosted Chesterton High School at Culver Academies’ Gable Tennis Complex. It was a beautiful day. The CMA Eagles played well. I’ve posted some photos here. Additional photos are located at:

High School Football Photos: Culver Academies vs. Tippecanoe Valley

Sorry everyone. I just realized how far behind on getting entires posted I am. Have patience with me as I attempt to get caught up over the next week.

Last month, I photographed the first home game of the CMA varsity football team as they played their at Oliver Field. It was a beautiful evening, not too hot, not too cold, as Culver Academies hosted Tippecanoe Valley. Culver played well, easily winning 22 to 8. I’ve posted some photos here. Culver Indiana Wedding Photographer: Broadstreet Wedding

This summer, we photographed the wedding of Ryan and Jessie. They were married here in Culver. The ceremony was right in front of the lake. Jessie was all smiles all day. She and Ryan were so easy to work with and as kind as they are in love. We had a great time with them and their families. Here are a handful of pictures from that day. All are unedited, raw files.

Indiana Senior Pictures: Colleen

A couple of weeks ago, Ginny and I met up with Colleen, a senior who wanted to have her senior photos taken here in Culver. Colleen was a lot of fun to work with because, as she says, “She likes what is unconventional.” Colleen had some fresh ideas for taking her senior shots, so we let her lead the way. Along the way, we discovered that she’s a brilliant young woman with a bright future. Ginny wanted to try some new shots, too, as she had some black and whites in mind once she heard Colleen liked that style. So, we played around with some new sun shots (believe it or not, it was actually out for awhile here in Culver). Overall, we had a lot fun with Colleen’s outfits, ideas, and her mom who accompanied us. We are looking forward to hearing about how she does in college and beyond. Good luck, Colleen!

CMA JV Lacrosse Photos: Culver Academy vs. Carmel

On Saturday, the CMA JV Lacrosse team hosted Carmel High School for a lacrosse game played on Oliver Field. The weather was bad with the possibility of rain coming in; this kept me from shooting the entire game. Culver struggled and never quite seemed to get in synch.

I’ve posted some of my favorite photos here. Other photos are located at:

CMA Varsity Baseball Photos: Culver Academy vs. North Miami

On Wednesday, the Culver Academy Varsity Baseball team continued its winning streak as the team hosted North Miami High School. The game started slow with North Miami scoring the first few points. However, Culver came together and took control of the game. The final score was Culver-15, North Miami-5.

I’ve posted a few posted here. Other photos from the game are posted at:

Culver Academy Garrison Parade: Parent’s Weekend 2011

Parents’ weekend on Sunday was a great day for Culver Academy’s Garrison Parade. The weather was nice. The boys and girls looked sharp. The band sounded good. The trucks all ran and were clean. And the horses, for the most part, behaved themselves. The parade was everything that you’d expect 8 months into the school year.

I’ve posted some photos here. Other photos are located at:

CGA JV Lacrosse Photos: Culver Academy vs. Park Tudor

The undeated Culver Academy Girls JV Lacrosse team played Park Tudor High School, which is the school that I would have attended had I not chosen Culver 28 years ago. The girls are still undefeated with an easy win and score of 12-to-2. The girls played exceptionally well and they have a coach who has developed the team. (Several of the girls had never played lacrosse before Culver.)

To the parents and kids, let me apologize. I started watching the game without a jacket on. With the wind, it was too cold for me. The only jacket that I had in the car was my embroidered CulverPhotos.com jacket, which is bright red, not the right color when shooting a game against Park Tudor. In my defense, I only have one embroidered jacket. When I had it made, I wanted  a bright color that wouldn’t offend Culver Aacdemy supporters or Culver Communuity High School fans when I shot games where the two schools played one another. With that in mind, I chose red. In hindsight, I probably should have gotten a red jacket, an orange jacket, and a maroon jacket. Sorry if it looked like I was supporting your opponent.

CMA JV Baseball Photos: Culver Academy vs. Knox High School

Saturday morning, the CMA JV baseball team had a long day as they hosted Knox High School for a double header played at Culver Academies. The weather was deceiving and it was much colder out than expected with the sun shining. The CMA Eagles played well and tried hard but they were no match for the experienced team from Knox. The weather has canceled so many games and outdoor practices this season that you can understand why Culver struggled in this game.
