Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Connor Eustace Senior Photos
This morning, I shot CMA Senior Connor Eustace in his Varsity Sweater on the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee. With nice weather and a bright blue sky, I was able to get some photos with great color. In a few weeks, Connor will be leaving Culver Academy after two years to study and play Lacrosse at Hobart College in New York. Having shot Connor at a few Academy games, I’m sure that he’ll succeed.
Plymouth Indiana Photography: Unexpected Prom Shoot
This afternoon, while driving back from the CMA Lacrosse Game in South Bend, I received a call asking if I could swing by and photograph a lifelong family freind of my wife’s family, Brittany Cowell. Brit was in her Prom dress before her and her date left for Culver Community High School’s Senior Prom. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it back to Culver before they had to leave. Instead, I met them at the Prom location in Plymouth. Considering that I didn’t have my full light setup and much of the backdrop was a parking lot and the sky was cloudy and overcast, I think that the photos turned out.
Brittany is a sweet girl who looked beautiful in her blue dress. Her and her date made a great looking couple who look great together, albeit a bit nervous by the camera.
Having known Brittany since she was a baby, I’m ok shooting her at Prom and Graduation. Brittany, if you’re reading this, please give me a couple of years before you ask me to photograph your wedding or a baby.
Culver Indiana Photographer: Graduation Announcement Shoot
This afternoon, I shot five Culver Academy Seniors for an announcement of their upcoming Graduation. These guys are having a joint graduation party and wanted a group shot to send out a photo card for their invitations. The weather was beautiful and we got some great shots. Unfortunately though, in 90 percent of them, one or more of the boys had their eyes closed. They were good sports but getting them to all smile and keep their eyes open was not an easy task. I’ve shot groups of 20 that I had an easier time of getting the perfect shot. It was fun though, and I’m happy with the final results.

Culver Academy Baseball Photos: CMA Baseball Senior Banner Photos
Today, I shot the five seniors of the CMA Baseball Team for their Senior banners that will be presented during the upcoming Culver Academies Parent’s Weekend. Following are some pictures that I ended up with before editing and submission to the company that prints and creates the banners.
Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Kirsten Senior Pictures
Today, Ginny and I photographed Kirsten, and senior at Culver Girls Academy here in Culver, Indiana. We had Culver’s campus all to ourselves, as students were on Spring break. Kirsten donned her Dress As, her Varsity sweater, and a casual outfit. We were impressed by how many gold As she had on her blazer! Kirsten rows for the crew team, so we took a few shots by the naval building and in the water. We had a great time with her and her mom. Thank you both for your laid back attitude and kindness. Ginny and I enjoyed meeting both of you, and we think Kirsten is as beautiful inside as she is outside. Best of luck next year in college, Kirsten!
Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Sdao Senior Pictures
Today, Ginny and I shot Culver Academy senior Jonathon Sdao at the Culver Memorial Legion Building and on the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee. Jonathon was a patient, willing sport throughout the shoot. Getting the lighting just right in the Legion Building took some trial and error and a whole lot of adjustments to get the results that we wanted. (For those not familiar with the building, it is an older building with stone walls throughout. It is a beautiful building though it does preset some challenges for photographers.) We managed though and ended up with some great shots. We wish Jonathon and his family the best as they bid Culver farewell in the coming months.
Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Shae Harris Senior Photos, Part 2
Today, we met again with Shae Harris to take some photos that included props from her school activities and her car. And, we met 10-year-old Ally, Shae’s sister, and Nick, Shae’s boyfriend. Ally is not only funny, but she’s also creative. She came up with some fun ideas for posed pictures and outdoor pictures on the swing set. Though Nick was coming from basketball practice, he was very accomodating of us and agreed to take a few shots. What a nice guy, and we know he has good taste! We took a few shots just as it was getting dark, and though the lighting wasn’t ideal, the couple was. We went for the goofy, the creative, the props, the car, some school signs, and the beautiful Shae. It was a fun photoshoot. We’ve uploaded more photos to the Shae gallery. Thanks Shae and Harris family. We love your humor and your kindness. Both seem to run in the family! Congrats to Shae and Nick on their senior year. Hope your final months are filled with fond memories!
Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Shae Harris Senior Photos, Part 1
The rain finally stopped long enough for us to take photos. Today, Ginny and I shot Shae Harris. Shae is a senior at Culver Community High School, and she is the daughter of Robin Harris, a friend of Ginny’s.
We had planned to take photos of Shae at a beautiful yellow tree near the dentist’s office, but this weekend’s weather took the leaves off of the tree, making a barren background. Ginny and I had scouted a few other locations, and we were lucky enough to get those to work, as all the leaves haven’t fallen yet and there were some great backdrops to work with, and some decent lighting. The weather held out, and the sun actually came out for a few shots. And Shae was beautiful. She has a natural smile and easy-going personality. We had a great time shooting her in the natural settings of Fall.
Later in the week, we will shoot more photos of Shae to capture what she does at school and her car. Thanks for your patience today, Shae. We had a great time with you and know you have a great future ahead of you.
Culver Indiana Senior Pictures: Cy Page’s Senior Photos, Part 1
Today, Ginny and I took pictures of Culver Community High School senior Cy Page. Today was the first session of what will be three separate shoots. We focused on getting Cy’s natural expressions in natural settings. We plan to do another shoot in Knox where Cy attends a second school, beautfy school, and then we’ll do a shoot at night to get shots of Cy and her car. Cy wears some great colors, and we discovered she has a colorful personality. She’s as kind as she is creative. We had a great time working with her to get these shots.
